Hello guys, i'm vroya and today i'm gonna tell you a little bit about reason to custom rom!
What is custom ROM?
“ROM” stands for “read-only memory.” A custom ROM replaces your device’s Android operating system — normally stored in read-only memory — with a new version of the Android operating system. And remember, custom ROMs is different from root!
Why should i use "Custom ROM"
1. Not all device will get update
True story isn't it? Not all device can get the latest update, except high-end smartphone (Samsung galaxy S5, Nexus series) and this is really hurt people who use low-end phone
. But with custom rom, you can get the latest update of the OS. An example of custom rom is miui, and cyannogemod
2. Lot of themes
In custom rom (i use CM), you can change your device themes, and sure there are a lot of it
3. Remove bloatware
If you want to actually erase these apps from your disk, the best way to do so is to install a custom ROM. You can disable them without rooting, but this won’t free up the disk space they consume (because you're just disable, not remove the bloatware).
4. Other:
-Customize the quick settings menu Android includes to add your own most-used settings shortcuts.
-Run apps in tablet mode on a phone, using a more full-featured tablet interface for certain apps.
-Easily overclock your device to make it run faster or underclock it to make it run slower while squeezing out more battery life. (using custom kernel, and note that not all custom kernel is tweaked or OC)
-Disable the volume warning that Android constantly shows when you increase the system volume while headphones are plugged in. (you can use xblast tool which require xposed framework and this works too on stock rom)
-Hide the bottom navigation bar (on-screen buttons) to get more space in your screen
-Easily enable root access by toggling a system setting. (but i more prefer SuperSU)
That's it guys, thanks for reading this tread, add comment if i make any mistake, somting is missing or any misspell!
